Event Details

VISIT a small town garden opening to the public as part of the NGS Open Gardens scheme.

8 Claremont Road was built in 2015 and is owned by an artist gardener with a passion for pots, plants and paintings.

Gravel paths divide rectangular beds filled with herbaceous perennials, grasses and ferns. A cow trough water feature and owner’s ceramics add surprise.

A gate leads to a deliberate wild area with young apple, pear and plum trees. The ground between is given over to wildflowers that are hand scythed back in July. Grass snakes, frogs and hedgehogs have been spotted here. There is a rustic shed in which the owner works on oil paintings related to the garden.

Sorry, no WC available.

Adult: £3.50 Children free Pre-booking essential.
